Shock Collars – Quick Shopping Tips
Although barking is a completely normal behaviour for dogs, it can get excessive. Carla has a German Shephard, Bronco, who is gentle inside her home and to her two pre-school kids. When Bronco sees the neighbour’s cats in the garden, he goes barking wild. Something drastic had to be done. Carla consulted her friends. She was informed of the benefits of shock collars
Barking is natural for dogs, but excessive barking is not going to be tolerated in many communities with clear rules. Among them, no-bark ordinances enforced in many communities. Those who violate these end up shouldering fines. Throw in the stress and discomfort at having a disobedient dog. That produces uneasy relationships between neighbours. Carla wanted a dog training regimen and deviec that would provide quick and lasting results. Her work and domestic duties – a full time job and two kids – understandably leaves her with a tight schedule, not enough for training her dog.
Shock, spray, and ultrasonic – these are the popular types of no bark collars. These types release a harmless fluid and a high-pitched tone, respectively. The sound is annoying only to dogs since humans can’t hear it. The no bark types trigger when your dog lets of a loud bark. High quality collars are able to tell whether the loud sound was the dog’s bark, or just a plane flying low, or a truck pulling in from the curve.
Carla seemed to like the shock collar, for good reason. The shock the dog receives is not painful, only startling, just enough to interrupt continuous barking. When she thought about it, she wanted a collar her big playful dog couldn’t break or shake loose. So she searched online for waterproof units whose dials and buttons a dog would have difficulty messing up with.
The shock collar, to Carla’s relief, allows for the amping up of the intensity level of the electric shock; just in case Bronco adapts to the stimulus and barks despite it. Carla enjoys her time with her kids now, more so since Bronco became so behaved, all thanks to shock collars. Bronco is now as tame as a kitten.
